The timed delay relay AC driver DIY kit

$16.00

This listing is for a Timed relay driver DIY electronics kit.  You have 5x on-board selection options:
30 Seconds
1 Minute
15 Minutes
30 Minutes
1 Hour
Once you make the selection by adjusting the on-board DIP switch, you can press the activation button to turn on the relay for your selected duration.  You can control your Christmas tree, lamps, a small television, an LCD, etc.  You can also use the relay to control DC motors, and solenoids.  The timing is within 99.5% accuracy.  After the timer elapses down to 0:00, the relay turns off, and the circuit waits for another instruction to be made.  There is also an external activation option.  There are two pads on the board that act to activate the relay when shorted.  This allows for you to use an external circuit to activate your kit, such as a laser circuit, a light detector circuit, or a PIR (Passive infrared) circuit.  The above video acts to demonstrate how the device works, and how you should go about using it.  At the end of the video, I show you how to interface the completed module with an AC appliance.  The video also serves as your instruction and assembly manual.  This kit comes with the printed circuit board, a programmed PIC10F222 MCU, and all of the components required to complete the module from scratch.  It does not come with a hard copy of the instructions.  Follow the video for step-by-step assembly instructions.  The traces are rated for 120VAC at 2A MAX.  The board requires a power supply of 7VDC to 8.5VDC.

Requirements:
1) Attention to detail.
2) A 7v - 8.5v power supply (If you're going to use a wall wart, aim for a 7v-8.5v @ 100mA or higher)
3) Some soldering experience would certainly help.
4) Please see the disclaimer below.  IF YOU DON'T HAVE EXPERIENCE WORKING WITH AC POWER, FIND SOMEONE TO HELP YOU.  IT CAN SEVERELY HURT YOU OR KILL YOU IF YOU ARE NOT CAREFUL!

Features:
1) Power AC devices, such as a Christmas tree, or Christmas lights (But not limited to) for a selected duration of up to one hour at a time.
2) There is an external set of pads that if shorted, will act as a button-press activation, so that you can easily interface this with a transistor switch, or perhaps another MCU circuit such as an arduino.

If you have any questions, please do not hesistate to ask!
