DIY electronic relay kit with on-board driver circuitry. With this kit, you can control AC devices using small 5v signals coming off of your MCU (Arduino/STAMP/PIC,Atmel, etc). There are 11 components including the custom PCB. It is very easy to put together. The video above is all you will need to create this board from scratch. Please note that this kit includes all of the parts required for the build, including the custom PCB. No hard copy instructions are included. The video above explains the circuit schematic, the functionality, and the assembly instructions. It requires 5VDC to power it, and the trigger input is active high. We also sell these as modules!
Requirements:
1) Soldering skills and attention to deltail!
2) A 5VDC power source.
3) When the relay is not activated, the device consumes microamps.
4) When the relay is activated, the devices comsumes less than 20mA.
5) The relay traces can handle 1.25A @ 120VAC. Don't use this to power your microwave!
A NOTE ON SAFETY:
If you don't have any knowledge of high voltage AC sources, find someone who does. Working with high voltage can be very dangerous. Don't be brave! Get educated!
Applcations:
Come on! There are thousands of applications! You don't need me to tell you this!!!! =) I've used one with a PIC microcontroller and a PIR sensor. Everytime my dog walks downstairs, a high pitched buzzer goes off. Use it with a security system! Interface it with your MCU!
